The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the book "al-’arabiyah baina yadai awladina (jilid 1)" in improving Arabic speaking skills with the trial class being class IX A of SMP Mujahidin Surabaya in the academic year 2024/2025. This research is an experimental type with a pre-experimental design - one group pretest-posttest. The data analysis technique used is paired sample t-test with the hypothesis H₀ = There is no improvement from pretest to posttest after the intervention, and H₁ = There is an improvement from pretest to posttest after the intervention. The research results obtained from the pretest and posttest data show that the average posttest score of the students is 80.00, which is higher than the average pretest score of 51.78. Through the effectiveness test calculation, it is known that T-count 8.148 > T-table 1.771 with a sig value of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that using the book "al-’arabiyah baina yadai awladina (jilid 1)" is effective in improving the Arabic speaking skills of class IX A students of SMP Mujahidin Surabaya. With this conclusion, the book can be a solution for educators to improve the Arabic language proficiency of students.
