Open Journal Systems (OJS) is an open-source solution for managing and publishing scientific journals online. OJS is a highly flexible editor, journal management, and publication system that can be downloaded for free and installed on a local Web server. It has been designed to reduce the time and energy devoted to administrative and managerial tasks associated with editing journals while improving the recording and efficiency of the editorial process. It aims to improve the quality of publication in scientific and public journals through a number of innovations, from making journal policies more transparent to improving indexing. Here's how to submit to a scientific journal: The scientific journal uses the CMS of the OJS (Open Journal System) version 3, and here's the Complete Tutorial to Submit Journal Articles in OJS:

1. Visit the Al-Fawa`id Journal Website

 

The first step is to access Al Fawa'id Journal's website. Please click on the following link:  https://jurnal.stai-ali.ac.id/index.php/Alfawaid

2. Registering

The next step is to register to have an account in Journal Al-Fawa`id so that the status of the account is that of the author. After pressing the Register button in the top right, the data-filling page will appear. Here's the picture:

If this is your first article to submit in Journal Al-Fawa`id, it needs a signup. However, if you have ever submitted an article, simply select the login menu and log in using an existing account. After completing it, it will appear as “Registration Completed.”.

3. Make a New Submission

To submit scientific articles to be processed in the form of journals. Then you can go to the Make New Submission menu. Once you click on the menu, it looks like the picture below:

There are several submenus, starting with Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, Confirmation, and Next Page. Choose the submenu as needed and contain each column that is mandatory to fill and relates to the scientific article that has been compiled. When you're done, you can select the Save button and proceed to the one at the bottom when you want the session to end.

4. Upload Submission

The next step is to submit scientific articles to be published in the form of scientific journals. Go to the Upload Submission menu, and choose the Uploading Submission File, and the dialog box will appear. It looks like the picture below:

On the Article Component option, you can select the type of script to be submitted, so please select the Article Text like the following:

Once selected, the box to upload the scientific article script file appears at the bottom. Click on the available buttons, then select the science article manuscript file from the device. Wait until the upload process or the submission is completed. Just then, click the Complete button in the Confirm section.

5. Metadata

In the metadata process, enter the title corresponding to your article title and also the abstract in English or Indonesian. After that, click Save and Continue.

6. Confirmation

After that, click Finish Sending Script.
