This research examines the meaning of the Fourth Principle of Pancasila through lexical and grammatical analysis, as well as its relevance to Islamic law in the context of Indonesia's pluralistic society. Pancasila is seen as a crystallization of values that unite various ethnicities, religions, and cultures in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach, allowing for an in-depth analysis of the meaning of the Fourth Principle. The results of this study indicate that the Fourth Principle is a statement with a passive structure, where the subject "kerakyatan” (the people's sovereignty) is led by the object "hikmat kebijaksanaan” (wisdom). Furthermore, the phrase "dalam permusyawaratan/perwakilan” (in deliberation/representation) is a prepositional phrase that functions as a complement to the verb "dipimpin” (led). Through semantic analysis, it is also clear how the Fourth Principle depicts Indonesia's unique democratic system, which includes: 1) People's sovereignty as the foundation, 2) Leadership based on wisdom and prudence, 3) Decision-making conducted through deliberation, and 4) The democratic system implemented through a representative mechanism. Another finding is that the Fourth Principle of Pancasila and Islamic law show a strong connection encompassing the following principles: 1) People's sovereignty and leadership in the Fourth Principle align with Islamic teachings, 2) The principles of wisdom and justice in the Fourth Principle are also part of Islamic teachings, 3) The principle of deliberation in the Fourth Principle is clearly linked to Islamic teachings, and 4) The principles of ethics and accountability in both Pancasila and Islam are essential, as leaders and representatives of the people are required to be responsible for their actions.
